I saw a piece with the head almost like a ribbon and used that as inspiration in this piece. I took a picture in my living room of my face and made it black and white in order to enhance the color of the face more. I then used colored brushes to try and create the deception in the ribbon and make it look more 3D. I wanted the text to go in and outside of the face, as well, so I utilized the different layers to create the effect then offset the heavy usage of the middle by having small text in the corner and then the line across the top.
